Most children look forward to the gifts they will receive for their birthday. For the second year in a row Ryan Snowdon gave up his birthday gifts for our kids! This year for his 4th birthday he and his brother Kamden, who was celebrating his 2nd birthday, asked family and friends to purchase school supplies for our kids instead of buying gifts for them!! His parents Andrew & Tricia must be very proud of their sons! They are learning at a very young age that it is better to give than to receive. Thank you Ryan & Kamden!!! We are proud of you!!

THANKS TO PEACE FIRST FOR INVITING ME TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR PEACE FIRST GATHERING

I am honored to have been invited to participate in the 5 day Peace First Gathering recently in Boston. During this event 14 youth leaders/designers, ages 11 to 23, from around the country gathered to work with Peace First founder & CEO Eric Dawson and members of the Peace First staff to help expand the peacemaking initiatives of their non-profit organization. I was the second youngest designer in the group and enjoyed the opportunity to contribute and be a part of this mission to expand Peace First’s peacemaking initiative. Thank you to Eric for giving me this awesome opportunity!! I will continue to work with them as they launch the Peace First Challenge.

Thank you to City Year and The Boston Foundation for hosting the gathering and all the organizations and individuals that contributed to the gathering.

This fall Peace First will be launching an opportunity for young people from around the globe to join as a peacemaker to help make positive changes in the world. Introducing the Peace First Challenge - “A call to action to young people around the world to identify an injustice and solve it using the tools of peacemaking.” “We believe in the power of young people to change the world, not someday in the future, right now!” Please go to their website at www.peacefirst.org to learn more about the opportunity.

If you are interested in becoming a peacemaker go to the Manifesto Tab on their website where you can sign the Manifesto to make a commitment to become a peacemaker. Peace First will then reach out to you once the initiative is launched.

The Peace First Manifesto:
“The world is a harsh place. People are treated unfairly. People are scared. People get hurt. This matters because people matter. All people. I know I can’t be perfect. I know I cannot fix everything. But I can make a choice. I can choose to be a peacemaker. And I commit to making this choice, every day.”

LEOMINSTER'S FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE SUPPORTS OUR KIDZ

The Leominster Flag Football League has recently supported our mission of feeding the food insecure children within our community. On their Championship Day in June they asked all league players to donate one of the needed food items that we include in our kare kits.

Kylee was at Doyle Field that day to spread the word about her mission. We greatly appreciate Andrea Lastella organizing this food drive for our kidz!

Thank you all so much for all your support!! It is because of people like you that we are able to help the kidz!!

KIDS HELPING KIDS AT FILL A TRUCK EVENT

We wanted to share with everyone that not only did we have adults from the community supporting our Fill A Truck event but we had many children involved as well. It was wonderful to see the number of parents who got their young children involved in purchasing a food item or a bag of food for our kidz. It was fabulous to see their parents teaching them to give to others!! We would like to say thank you so much!

There were many children who walked up to us with a food item over the two days and we had a family willing to have us include their children in a photo with Kylee. Emma & Nina Petricca donated food for our kidz and this isn't the first time that Emma has helped our mission. While a kindergarten student at Priest St School she also helped with a food drive!!

Thank you to all the children who have helped us to feed the food insecure children in our community!! You should all be very proud of yourselves!!

I would like to thank Michael Rosenberg, the owner and CEO of Promotion in Motion the makers of Welch's Fruit Snacks and many other delicious goodies, for his continued support of our mission to feed the food insecure children in our community!!

At the end of May 2016 Michael invited me to attend the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago. This is the snack food industries lar...gest trade show and the second year that Michael invited me and my grandmother to be his guest at the show. I was able to walk the trade show floor and speak with representatives from many different companies in hopes of making new connections.

Michael also provides us with fruit snacks and fruit rolls for all of our kare kits! His kindness and generosity is truly amazing. He certainly has many more important things to attend to than helping a 14 year old girl with her mission but has continued to be there for me and my kids.

Michael, his family and the Promotion In Motion Family have been there for me and I truly appreciate it.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to support our 2nd Annual Fill A Truck event that was held at Market Basket in Leominster this past weekend. First we would like to thank Market Basket for all their support. Your employees went above and beyond to support our efforts!!

A special thank you to all who volunteered to help us man the tables at the event. We had kare kit team members, family and friends who worked long hours on both days. A very special thank you to our new friends from the Apple Stores in Marlboro and Natick - Matthew, Tia and Taylor who came out to lend a hand.

We cannot truly express the gratitude we feel to everyone who donated food items, made a monetary donation or just stopped by to encourage us with our mission to help feed the food insecure children in our community!! The kindness and generosity shown to us was truly amazing! This is a misssion that would not be possible without the support of all of you. It takes a village to make this all happen and we have a fabulous village!!

The amount of food and monetary donations we received will help us to help so many children. We will be forever grateful to you all!!

OUR KIDZ ARE IN NEED OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES & BACKPACKS

As the new school year is quickly approaching we are reaching out to ask for donations of school supplies for our kidz. If you are able to make a donation please reach out to us at kyleeskarekitsforkidz1@gmail.com or message us on Facebook and we will make arrangements to pick up your donation.

The kids are in need of backpacks, crayons, markers, pencils, pens, pencil cases, high-lighters, scissors, glue sticks, glue, notebooks, lined paper, rulers, erasers and any other school supplies you would like to donate. We have over 300 students in pre-school through high school who can use our help.

We will be delivering the collected school supplies to our kidz during the week of August 15th. We greatly appreciate your continued support of our kidz!!
