2015 AMVETS DEPARTMENT OF MASSACHUSETTS PILGRIM AWARDS

Thank you to Leon Proctor and the AMVETS for choosing Kylee to be the 2015 recipient of their Child Welfare Award. Kylee accepted the award on behalf of the kare kits team who help her with her mission of helping the food insecure children in our community. The annual event was held in Haverhill MA and the award was one of nine that were given that evening. Kylee was honored to be a part of this wonderful event where she got to meet the other award recipients including Carlos Arredondo who received the First Responder Award for his part in aiding Jeff Bauman at the Boston Marathon Bombings.

We would like to thank Mrs. Mandy Susman for organizing a group of middle school students & their parents from her synagogue to come and pack kare kits with us. We would like to thank Kerry O'Grady and Father Timothy Brewer for inviting us to come to speak with their CCD students again. We traveled to St Mary's in Jefferson twice in November to pack kare kits with the kids and to speak about the mission to feed the food insecure children. We greatly appreciate the generous donation of food for the kare kits and for the continued support of our mission. It was a pleasure spending time with all of you again!!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ANDY & CHRISTINE SEARS OF C&M PIZZA

We would like to thank Andy & Christine Sears of C&M Pizza in Leominster for cooking delicious turkey dinners for our kare kit families on Thanksgiving Day. They provided 200 dinners!! This is the third year that they have spent their Thanksgiving Day giving to others! Also a special thank you to their team of volunteers!!

Another special thanks to the volunteers from Kylee's Kare Kits for Kidz who deliverd the meals and worked at the shelter serving the meals, desserts, punch, cheese, pepperoni and crackers to the children and families. Also thank to our volunteers who colored turkeys and played games with the children.

It was a fun day had by all and a fabulous way to spend Thanksgiving Day! The families and children were so very grateful for the kindness and the delicious food!! It was wonderful to see the smiles on the childrens faces throughout the day!!

We would like to thank Dr. Len Brassard, his family and all the students & their families for their extremely generous donation of winter coats and food for our kids!! Your continued support is greatly appreciated. It is because of caring and compassionate people like all of you that we are able to feed almost 300 children in our community every week. MONTACHUSETT CHORALE PRESENTS A HOLIDAY CONCERT TO BENEFIT OUR KIDS

Thank you to The Montachusett Chorale for choosing Kylee's Kare Kits for Kidz to benefit from their annual concert!! We also gave them an autographed Rob Gronkowski football to raffle off. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Happy Holidays!!

WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of my mission to help the food insecure children in our community. I will not name individuals as there are too many to mention and I would not want to forget to name someone. You all know who you are.

You may have made a monetary or food donation, you may have helped us pack kare kits, worked with us to set up for packing, helped us organize our food pantry, gone shopping or delivered kare kits. You may have donated an item for a raffle, purchased a raffle ticket, donated clothing or toys, ran in our annual 5K, walked in our annual Walk for Hunger, participated in our holiday mission for the kids, helped at our annual ice cream social & barbeque or served hot meals with our Brown Bag Ministry at the shelter. You may have invited me to come to speak about my mission of fighting childhood hunger. You may have invited me to attend a trade show, donated your products for our kidz, filmed a story on the mission for television or written an article in a newspaper or magazine helping to bring awareness to childhood hunger. You may have had a fundraiser to help us. You may have given me words of encouragement and support or just kept us in your thoughts.

With the help of so many wonderful people we have been able to accomplish so much over the past three plus years. Together we are feeding almost 300 food insecure children every week. You have no idea how much it means to me, my team and especially the children we help. I have been blessed to have so many compassionate, kind and generous people in my life.

WRAPPING PAPER NEEDED FOR OUR HOLIDAY MISSION

We are about to begin our fourth annual Holiday Mission for the kare kit kidz! This year we have over 280 children that we will be hoping to provide gifts for. We are reaching out to ask for help with wrapping paper, tape and the holiday gift tote bags that stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Home Goods… carry for $1 each during the holiday season. We hope to receive enough tote bags for all the children as it makes it much easier to place the gifts for each child into one of those bags for delivery.

We have received a donation of bows and tags and someone reached out to us that they can provide tissue paper so we are all set with those items.
