2015 AMVETS DEPARTMENT OF MASSACHUSETTS PILGRIM AWARDS

Thank you to Leon Proctor and the AMVETS for choosing Kylee to be the 2015 recipient of their Child Welfare Award. Kylee accepted the award on behalf of the kare kits team who help her with her mission of helping the food insecure children in our community. The annual event was held in Haverhill MA and the award was one of nine that were given that evening. Kylee was honored to be a part of this wonderful event where she got to meet the other award recipients including Carlos Arredondo who received the First Responder Award for his part in aiding Jeff Bauman at the Boston Marathon Bombings.

THANK YOU TO THE FAMILIES FROM THE CONGREGATION AGUDAT ACHIM SYNAGOGUE

We would like to thank Mrs. Mandy Susman for organizing a group of middle school students & their parents from her synagogue to come and pack kare kits with us. We greatly appreciated the donation of food as well as the help in packing almost 300 kare kits! It is because of caring people like all of you that we are able to help the food insecure children in our community!!

 

THANK YOU TO ST MARY'S PARISH IN JEFFERSON MA

We would like to thank Kerry O'Grady and Father Timothy Brewer for inviting us to come to speak with their CCD students again. We traveled to St Mary's in Jefferson twice in November to pack kare kits with the kids and to speak about the mission to feed the food insecure children. We greatly appreciate the generous donation of food for the kare kits and for the continued support of our mission. It was a pleasure spending time with all of you again!!

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ANDY & CHRISTINE SEARS OF C&M PIZZA

We would like to thank Andy & Christine Sears of C&M Pizza in Leominster for cooking delicious turkey dinners for our kare kit families on Thanksgiving Day. They provided 200 dinners!! This is the third year that they have spent their Thanksgiving Day giving to others! Also a special thank you to their team of volunteers!!

Another special thanks to the volunteers from Kylee's Kare Kits for Kidz who deliverd the meals and worked at the shelter serving the meals, desserts, punch, cheese, pepperoni and crackers to the children and families. Also thank to our volunteers who colored turkeys and played games with the children.

It was a fun day had by all and a fabulous way to spend Thanksgiving Day! The families and children were so very grateful for the kindness and the delicious food!! It was wonderful to see the smiles on the childrens faces throughout the day!!
