SISTERS CHOOSE TO GIVE RATHER THAN TO RECEIVE FOR THEIR BIRTHDAYS

When most children have a birthday party they look forward to the gifts that they may receive. Well, nine year old Evelyn and five year old Carilyn are not like most kids! When they both recently celebrated their birthdays they asked family and friends to donate food or grocery store gift certificates for the kare kits instead of receiving gifts for themselves. Thank you so very much Evelyn & Carilyn for putting others before yourselves! You should be very proud of what you have done! This is the second year that Evelyn has given up her birthday gifts for our kids! It truly is better to give than to receive!! We are very grateful for your kindness and support of our mission to help the food insecure children in our community.
