Another week of packing the kare kits for our kids with team members and friends. We greatly appreciate all the support of our mission to help the food insecure children in our community. We couldn't accomplish what we do without the tremendous support of all of you!!

Thank you to Option 1 Fitness for their continued support of our mission to help the food insecure children in our community. We received another food donation from them and would like to thank their staff and members for helping us to provide 515 children with kare kits each week!! It is because of the support from people like all of you that we are able to accomplish this!!  

POWER SOURCE TRAINING CENTER KARES FOR OUR KIDZ

We would like to thank Jim Herrick of Power Source Training Center in Leominster for the amazing food and monetary donation he just delivered to us! Jim holds an annual food drive at Power Source for our kidz. Jim also donated 5 cents for every burpee done by the centers members in 5 minutes.

We greatly appreciate your continued support. It is because of generous and kind people like you that we are able to provide weekly kare kits to 515 children. Thank you to Jim, his staff and all the members and their families for this amazing donation!

BIG Y COMMUNITY BAG PROGRAM - BIG Y CARES FOR OUR KIDZ

We would like to thank the Big Y Grocery Store in Holden for choosing our kids to benefit from their Community Bag Program. Every month they choose a local non-profit organization to receive $1 from the purchase of their reusable tote bags purchased during that month. This program was created to provide support to local non-profits and we are grateful that they chose Kylee's Kare Kits for Kidz as one of their non-profit recipients.

Kylee recently met with Karen at the Holden Big Y to receive a check in the amount of $317.00. We greatly appreciate your generosity and kindness and would also like to thank the Big Y customers for their support of the community bag program. It is because of people like all of you that we are able to provide 515 children with kare kits each week!!

OUR 8TH HOLIDAY MISSION FOR THE KIDZ HAS BEGUN

With the holidays quickly approaching we have begun our eighth annual holiday mission to provide holiday gifts to all of our kidz! If a family is struggling with providing food for their family they certainly will struggle with gifts for the holidays. We would like to do what we can to make the holidays a bit brighter for the children. We currently have children on our list ranging from infants through high school students!! This year we have many more children in need then ever before. We need your help to provide gifts to so many children.

Please stop by and take a tag or feel free to drop off individual toys or clothing that we would then be able to give to a child in need. We can use hats, mittens, pajamas, sweatshirts, socks, books, toys or any other items you may like to donate. We also are accepting gift cards to Roll On America, Mason’s Bowling Alley, Gamestop, I-Tunes and the movie theaters in Leominster & Fitchburg. If you don’t have time to shop but would like to help with this mission feel free to send a monetary donation to our mailing address listed below and let us know that you would like it used for the holiday mission and we will shop for you!!Please help make the holidays a little brighter for children in need. Remember these are ALL LOCAL CHILDREN needing our help. Your donations help children in our community.

We will need all donations back by Friday, December 13th so that we have time to prepare the gifts to be delivered to the children. If you chose a tag from a business you would then return the gifts to that same location. Thank you very much for helping us to make the holidays brighter for our kidz!! It is so much better to give than to receive!!

TOY DRIVE BEING HELD AT SAMOSET MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR OUR KIDZ

Thank you to two Samoset Middle School 7th graders Kaylie & Valentina for spearheading this toy drive for our kidz!!

From November 12th until December 13th the girls will be accepting donations of new toys at the school. Students will receive a raffle ticket, for each toy donated, to be entered into the weekly raffle to win some wonderful prizes including chrome books!!! We would like to thank Kaylie & Valentina for their kindness!! Should you child attend Samoset Middle School please consider making a toy donation for our kidz!!

OUR FRIENDS FROM LUNENBURG PUBLIC SCHOOL SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Thanks to our friends from the Lunenburg public school system for their continued support of our mission to help the food insecure children in our community. We provide kare kits to all the public schools in Lunenburg and the teachers and staff volunteer their time to help us pack kare kits. It's because of people like all of you that we are able to provide kare kits to over 550 children every week!!

WCVB NEWSCENTER 5 HONORS KYLEE AS A+ STUDENT

We were recently notified that Kylee had been nominated for the A+ honor and was chosen to be featured on their news channel. We are so excited to announce that Antoinette Antonio from WCVB NewsCenter 5 came to interview Kylee this past week for their A+ Student segment.

Antoinette came with Tim, her cameraman, to interview Kylee about her non-profit Kylee's Kare Kits for Kidz. Antoinette even helped to pack kare kits with Kylee!

They then traveled to The Winchendon School, where Kylee attends high school, to learn about the service work that she has done during her time there as well as about her excellence in academics as Kylee has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school. Antoinette spoke with headmaster, Lauren Lambert and interviewed Miranda Jennings, the service learning director at the school, about Kylee's service work at the school as well as the service missions she has gone on with the school to the Philippines, the Dominican Republic and Houston, Texas.

It was an honor to meet Antoinette and we greatly appreciate this amazing opportunity.

The segment is scheduled to air this coming Wednesday, November 20th during the early evening news.

Of note the Winchendon School's Varsity Girls Volleyball team, of which Kylee is a member, won the 2019 NEPSAC Championship today and they will be on WCVB NewsCenter 5's Eye Opener on Wednesday morning for the Good Morning Eye Opener segment!! Thank you Antoinette and everyone at NewsCenter 5 for these amazing opportunities!!
