JOY IN CHILDHOOD FOUNDATIONS KARES ABOUT OUR KIDZ

We’re excited to announce that we’ve received a $5000 grant from the Joy in Childhood Foundation! Our grant is one of 150 grants the Joy in Childhood Foundation, which is powered by Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins, is awarding to nonprofit organizations nationwide that align with their mission to bring the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness. Our grant will be used to support our mission of helping the food insecure children in our community. We will be able to provide 1,000 kare kits to children in need with this grant!! We greatly appreciate the generosity and kindness!!

A special thanks to Everett Gasbarro for nominating us two years in a row to receive a grant from the Joy in Childhood Foundation!! We greatly appreciate your continued support!!

D'AMBROSIO EYE CARE CONTINUES TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Our friends at D'Ambrosio Eye Care recently joined us to pack kare kits once again. Not only did they pack the kare kits but they helped us to set up for packing the next week!

We greatly appreciate their continued support of our mission to help the food insecure children in our community. We also appreciate all the BJ's coupons that they send to us each month!!

CUTS FOR A CAUSE AT ALLURE SALON & SPA BENEFITS OUR KIDZ

Thank you to Brandi Gilchrest of Allure Salon & Spa in Leominster for organizing a Cuts for A Cause event to benefit our kids! Thank you to all the hairstylists that participated as well as their customers. They held a food drive, a raffle and raised monetary donations from customers getting their hair cut. The Cuts for A Cause event was held on October 28th but they continued with the raffle and food drive to the end of November. They raised almost $400 for our kidz as well as collecting food for our kare kits.

It is because of the kindness and generosity of all of you that we are able to help over 400 children every week. Thank you!!

A SHOUT OUT TO A SPECIAL GUY WHO VOLUNTEERS WITH US AT SKY VIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL EACH WEEK

Every Friday morning before school begins Mason is waiting at the door for us to arrive with the kare kits for the 82 Sky View kare kit students. Come rain or snow or sunshine Mason is always there eager to bring the kare kits into the guidance office, unload them and help to deliver them to the students at the school.

We greatly appreciate Mason’s continued support and hard work each week. You are a true role model for your peers!! You should be very proud of yourself!!

OUR 7TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY MISSION HAS BEGUN & WE NEED YOUR HELP

With the holidays quickly approaching we have begun our seventh annual holiday mission to provide holiday gifts to all of our kidz! If a family is struggling with providing food for their family they certainly will struggle with gifts for the holidays. We would like to do what we can to make the holidays a bit brighter for the children. We currently have almost 400 children on our list from toddlers through high school students!! This year we have many more children in need than ever before. We need your help to provide gifts to so many children. The children range in ages from toddler through high school.

We can use hats, mittens, pajamas, sweatshirts, socks, books, toys or any other items you may like to donate. If you don’t have time to shop but would like to help with this mission feel free to send a monetary donation to our mailing address listed below and let us know that you would like it used for the holiday mission and we will shop for you!!Please help make the holidays a little brighter for children in need. Remember these are ALL LOCAL CHILDREN needing our help. Your donations help children in our community.

We will need all donations back by Friday, December 14th so that we have time to prepare the gifts to be delivered to the children. If you chose a tag from a business you would then return the gifts to that same location. Thank you very much for helping us to make the holidays brighter for our kidz!! It is so much better to give than to receive!!
